Art Prize G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation

Artists-in-Residence Program

The love for art, as well as the deep desire for promotion, protection and projection of the free artistic expression, led to the establishment of the “Art Prize G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation – Artists-in-Residence Program”.

The aim of the prize is to support the work of Greek artists, which is one of the most dynamic, contemporary and global expressions of the creative capacities of modern Greece. The prize marks the thirty-year of efforts to help and strengthen the artistic leadership of the country, which still needs the appropriate visibility and assistance in a globalized artistic production environment.

The Prize supports Greek artists by offering the opportunity to create a visual work that will become part of the international permanent collection of the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation at the open museum of the Minos Beach art hotel in Agios Nikolaos, Crete.
